Dog photography has always been my first love, and I really enjoy capturing working dogs in their element - enjoying the job they were bred to do. So when I was invited to spend a day up in Staffordshire, photographing this pack of sealyham terriers (with a few jack russels) I leapt at the chance.
Sealyham terriers are a relatively rare breed these days, although they used to be quite popular, and they have the look of rather cuddly fireside dogs. However, when there are rats about, they really go for it, and will clear a farmyard of rats in a couple of hours. In this instance we were clearing the area around a farm, then walking up a ditch where the farmer knew there were rats nesting. It was great fun!
